I filed taxes after deadline..can I still receive payment?

Payment for a refund?  Yes.  You have 3 years to file for a refund.  The IRS may even pay you interest on it.

Which payment ?   Do you mean the  refund... if so of course once the return is processed.  If you mean the stimulus then most likely not since mailed in returns are taking 3 months or more to process ... so if you don't get it by the end of the year then you can apply for it on the 2020 return you file next year.
