2016 TurboTax DELUXE: Can Schedule D transactions be IMPORTED from brokers

Yes, if the broker is one of the TurboTax partners.  Most broker and bank Form 1099's will not be available for import until late January or early February.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for importing 1099's - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2580838-when-will-i-be-able-to-import-my-1099

And this Support FAQ for how to import - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1934506-how-do-i-import-my-1099

Note - Importing investment data is available for all the TurboTax desktop editions.  For the TurboTax online editions, investments can only be imported using the Premier or Self-Employed (formally Home and Business) editions.

To be absolutely clear and to avoid "disappointment", please confirm that there will be no loss of functionality concerning importing tax data from Intuit partners when comparing 2015 TT Deluxe and 2016 TT Deluxe. I would like to hear this from an Intuit rep -- it's not clear to me whether DoninGA is an employee or a user.

By the way, both of the links above in DoninGA's answer were last edited a year ago and, therefore, are relevant to 2015 TT. The information may be valid for 2016 as well, but it also may not be.

Thank you for your help.

@tomtax2008 - You are correct that I am not a TurboTax employee.  This is a TurboTax user community forum and not TurboTax support.  The FAQ's are written by TurboTax employees and are deemed official by TurboTax (although some may have not yet been updated if specific to a tax year)
If you wish to contact TurboTax support and speak directly with a support agent use the procedure in this FAQ - <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899263-what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number">https://ttlc.intuit.com...>

Thank you for the clarification and the time you've taken to answer my question.

I did contact TT support by phone and they confirmed that they have not been told of any changes in the data import capabilities from 2015 TT Deluxe to 2016 TT Deluxe (desktop/download). I would take that as about as official an answer as I can expect to get. (Making this non-change clear in their product description would be better but I wouldn't expect to see that.)
