1099-S Home Sale Post Divorce

I received a 1099-S but it is my portion of the home sale proceeds (hd received his own). We did jointly own the home while married. I received a specific amount of the proceeds per our degree (the proceeds were not split 50/50). How do I only enter what I received? I was not prompted to enter that information. For the record, our home sold for well under the $250,000 amount. Thank you!

If the 1099-S reflects your portion of the proceeds, then you will enter the pro-rated amount of closing costs, original cost of the home plus any improvements (Basis), etc. based on the agreed upon split.  The following link gives step-by-step instructions on how to enter Form 1099-S in TurboTax; Where do I enter Form 1099-S?

Yes, thank you! I was originally thrown off by the full sale price on my 1099-S form. I got through to a TurboTax specialist who did confirm since home was jointly owned we are to enter information needed at 50%. Thank you!
