When entering the 1099-R, enter it as issued.
When asked 'how much was RMD?" enter 8K.
When asked how much was QCD, enter 10K.
When asked how much was converted to Roth enter 20K.
See the Note at the bottom of the screenshot posted earlier, 'We'll assume everything that wasn't rolled over or converted was cashed out or wound up somewhere other than a retirement plan'.
After entering your 1099-R pay close attention to the follow-up questions.
You'll be asked how much of your distribution was RMD, then how much was transferred to QCD.
Lastly, you'll be asked what you did with the money, where you can indicate how much was converted to a Roth.
If RMD was $8k and total distribution was $35k with cash distribution of $5k, QCD of $10k and and Roth conversion of $20k, what numbers do you enter for the various prompt?
