Every downloaded 1099-R was rejected by the IRS.
The numbers are all correct.
What happened? I just resubmitted.
This is a very big problem that must be resolved.

this public forum has no access to your information. was there a reject code or message? If so, what was it?
you're the first to report this type of issue with every 1099-R. until the issue is fixed, you'll likely continue to be rejected
don't know how many are involved, but a workaround might be to delete them and enter them manually.
something may have corrupted the imports, which you can not see but is causing issues with the electronic file.
Mike,
Thank you for the reply. As a computer programmer from the 1960s, it is clear to me that one of the TT updates was defective and was unable to process downloaded 1099-R data an yielded a F1099R-501-02 error. I got help from a TT customer service representative and he said delete all the 1099-R forms. That is a sledge hammer approach, but Intuit is clearly not testing their updates and downloading and verifying all the data took about 90 minutes.
To have every 1099-R download, from various financial institutions is very strange and indicates a systematic error in the TT software. You can't blame the financial institutions and perhaps the IRS database either. The TT update was defective. I saved my updated TT file with a separate name and amazingly the latest TT software updated cured the problem. The federal submission was accepted. How lucky was I to fall into an infinitely small software crack and pull my hair out. I will be asking for a refund or credit to be used next year... Heck of an unnecessary detour...
