1099 - misc seems to be showing up under personal income under 2017. Then next to it under 2018 it says zero. Should it show up under personal income?

Not sure why it shows up under personal income when I entered it as an independent contractor in the business section.

No, you are correct that your 1099-Misc for payment as a Contractor would be included in the Business section of your return and not as Personal Income.

The numbers shown from 2017 are for information only, and are not exactly as were reported on your tax return.

You can look at a copy of your 2017 return to verify this.
