1099 Misc box 10

I received form 1099 Misc with an amount in box 10. I am not the attorney and I do not have a business. I sued a company that had built a business on part of my land. I won, but I did not receive any money. The company paid the attorney fees. Which is the amount reported in box 10. I received a letter from the attorney saying this was for information purposes only. I am not sure if I still need to include it on my tax return or not. If so, how do I report this so I am not being taxed

In TurboTax Online, report the entry of the IRS form 1099-MISC under Other Common Income.

At the screen Enter Taxable Attorney Fees, enter $0 for the taxable amount the attorneys fees.

Retain this paperwork with your tax return paperwork should a tax authority have a question at a later time.
