Folks, not sure how to report the information from the 1099-G which is reporting "Paid Family Medical Leave Benefit" amount in Box1, along with a Federal tax amount withheld in Box 4 and State tax amount withheld in Box 11.
It is not clear to me whether the information would be reported on the 1040 or state form or both. I would think I would need both to at least report the Federal and state withheld amounts.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Enter it one time, in the federal section and TurboTax will automatically transfer it to your state return. The income is taxable on your federal return, and may or may not be taxable on your state return.
To enter a 1099-G for Paid Family Leave, see the instructions linked below. There are multiple 1099-G entries in TurboTax, so make sure you are using the Paid Family Leave entry; it is the same entry you use for unemployment income. Enter all of the information and withholding (federal and state) when you enter the form.
Where do I report a 1099-G for Paid Family Leave?
