1099 employee coming up as W2

When i Enter a 1099 employee they're coming up as a W2 employee how do i go about fixing this issue?

Are you asking about a 1099NEC you received or do you need to prepare one to give to someone you paid?  A 1099 is not an employee.  1099NEC is for Contract labor on Schedule C line 11.   You fill out schedule C under the Business tab in the Home&Business program.

Thank you for your help! That was exactly my issue i was marking them under the employee tab instead of contractor
