Take out the box 12 $$ on that 1099-DIV, and look at line 6b of your form 1040...then put box 12 back in and check line 6b again.

Yep!
That's exactly what is happening.
This is the first year I'm getting full SS income.
Time to rethink that tax free bond fund income source.
