1099-B

In my 2024 tax return with TurboTax Deluxe (on-line), I must confirm the data automatically uploaded from my financial institution for form 1099-B. They are complete and correct exactly as in the printed form mailed to me, but TurboTax keeps showing "review needed" and I'm stuck there.

In TurboTax Online, click Review to view the transaction entries.

Click the box to the left to identify the transaction line, then click the pencil to the right to edit.

In some cases, the question How did you receive this investment needs to be answered.

Click Continue.  Answer the question at the screen Let us know if any of these situations apply to this sale.

Click Continue twice.

Review message has been removed.

1099-B

Your reply did not at all answer/resolve my problem. I had already and repeatedly run through all those obvious and intuitive steps that you indicate, with no avail (i.e. the "Review needed" did not disappear and I was stuck there).
Eventually, I had to reset and start over (trashing 3.5 hours of prior work), in doing so I finally figured out what was the root of the problem: it was not in that form, but originated much before in the tax report. In one of the initial forms I was asked whether I had sold stock, to which responded "no" (as I had not sold "stock"); but in fact I had exchanged bonds between two accounts of mine, and apparently that is considered same as selling stock. So my 1099-B was incompatible with that prior answer, no matter what.
