1099-B/ 8949 PDF upload Conflicting answers within Turbotax for stock transaction

TurboTax experts keep saying Turbotax does not support the PDF attachment for 1099 or 8949 form. However, while going through online premier version and if i select "not covered" securities it does prompt to upload the PDF. Here's what it says:

Now we'll help you upload your 1099-B since the IRS requires a copy
The IRS requires a copy of your 1099-B because you need to provide documentation for some of the transactions on your sales summary.
If you have a PDF copy, upload it and we'll send it to the IRS for you.
If you don't have a PDF copy, you can skip upload and we'll help you mail a paper copy.

So, you can upload PDF here but experts keep saying PDF attachment is not allowed ? This only seems true for "online premier" version and this upload feature doesn't seem to work in Desktop Version. Very strange and conflicting replied.

Can someone from Turbotax clarify ?  People here say we have to mail in 1099 B / 8949 to IRS cuz we can't upload PDF but looks like we can ?

Very frustrated with TurboTax this year.
