1095-A is incorrect. Is the 8962 Form what I'm filling in on Turbo Tax?

Yes, the 1095-A information will go to the calculations on Form 8962.  If your 1095-A is incorrect, you will want to have that corrected by the Marketplace, so they can report the correction to the IRS, and you can have the correct information to enter into your return.

You can obtain the current form from the Marketplace online or by phone.

  • How to find your 1095-A online:
  • Log into your Marketplace account at https://www.healthcare.gov
  • Click the green Start a new application or update an existing one button
  • Choose Go to my applications & coverage at the bottom of the screen
  • Under Your existing applications" select your 2016 application — not your 2017 application. 2016 will be below your 2017 application
  • Select Tax forms from the menu on the left
  • Download all 1095-As shown on the screen

If you can’t find it in your Marketplace account, contact the Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2595, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Yes, the 1095-A information will go to the calculations on Form 8962.  If your 1095-A is incorrect, you will want to have that corrected by the Marketplace, so they can report the correction to the IRS, and you can have the correct information to enter into your return.
