Some TurboTax Desktop customers have experienced a crash in TurboTax Mac that will not allow the program to relaunch after recovering from the crash. When relaunching the program will flash the verifying updates screen and disappear.
We are working to resolve this issue within TurboTax Mac.
We also have a few resolutions known to resolve this issue.
To get the program to open, You need to uninstall and reinstall TurboTax Mac. Make sure your remove all of the 2019 TurboTax Plist files from the preferences folder and that all files are removed from the trash before trying to restart TurboTax.
To prevent the crash after you successfully purchase your e file fees please use the smaller close button located at the bottom right corner of the purchase pop-up screen.
Another option to use is to create a new Admin user account on your Mac Operating system and move your tax file over to the new profile to complete and file your return.
