2018 Arizona nonresident/part-year resident 140X

Because of an error in a TurboTax calculation, you may have underpaid your Arizona state income tax. If you used TurboTax to file your 2018 Arizona nonresident or part-year resident state tax return prior to March 4, 2019, your federal Adjusted Gross Income was understated, leading to an underpayment of Arizona income tax.

We fixed the issue in TurboTax and we want to make sure you have the information to determine if your return is complete and accurate. We continuously strive to provide correct and accurate calculations in our TurboTax products. Sometimes that effort results in our finding errors after returns have been filed. If you need our help, we’ve provided contact information at the bottom of this page.

We suggest you amend your 2018 Arizona tax return and pay the additional tax due. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.  To correct your return, please follow the steps below.

What you can do:

  • You can amend your state tax return yourself. Select the version of TurboTax you used to prepare your return:
  • After the changes are made to your tax return, print, sign and mail the amended return and payment to:

Arizona Department of RevenuePO Box 52016Phoenix, AZ 85072-2016
