I always use Turbo Tax in January to manually enter income for tax estimate due in April. 2025 Turbo Tax Deluxe won't allow manual entry of 1099R................ggggrrrrr..................how can I get get an estimate?????

Since this section has not been finalized you cannot enter any tax data on a Form 1099-R when using the online editions.
If you are using the TurboTax desktop editions you can go to Forms mode and enter your tax data on the Form 1099-R
I went to forms and entered 1099-R information. I used my 2024 TurboTax deluxe to verify that I fill in the same fields as in my 2024 tax return.
TurboTax 2025 is not using this information in my return. It is not helping me calculate my final 2025 estimated tax payment due 1/15/26!
I have the same problem. Anyone know when we can expect the software to be updated to allow entry of 1099R income? When I tried to sign up for email alerts, I was taken to a notice of when form 3903 would be available.
For calculating my 4th quarter estimated tax using TurboTax Deluxe desktop, I temporarily entered all of my 1099-R taxable amount as interest income to have TurboTax calculate my total Federal tax for 2025. This amount agreed with my manual calculation. So I now know what my final Federal taxes are.
I live in Colorado where some 1099-R income is excluded from state income taxes. Not having these1099-R entries is still causing my state income tax to still calculate high.
I experienced the exact same problem and when I signed up for the email I got a response back moments later the form 3903 is now available. Turbo Tax needs to get their "TaxAct" together. 🤔🤣🤣
I read in another post that a moderator mentioned (hearsay) January 21st as a release date for the update that will fix 1099-R
Thanks to the community - I was able to update one (only 1) 1099-R in Forms Mode.
However I am unable to figure out how to add a second 1099-R while in Forms Mode.
Any help appreciated.
And to any Intuit Product Manager or Customer Success Executive out there- please communicate with your customers - when will full retirement income functionality be available for 2025 taxes?
@tpm-a1 Latest information on Form 1099-R availability in TurboTax is estimated to be on 01/21
To add another Form 1099-R in Forms mode -
Open the Form 1099-R you created
Scroll down the form to page 2 and in the box labeled Form 1099-R and Forms 1099-R Summary Smart Worksheet, on QuickZoom to another Form 1099-R click the QuickZoom box
In the Open Form window, click on the button labeled Add Form
Took me awhile to find that little Summary Smart Worksheet box on the existing 1099R form, but I finally did. I also found an easier way. In the left Forms column, go further down and open the 1099R Summary. At the very top is Form 1099-R Smart Worksheet with a quick zoom button which will open the Add Form 1099-R box.
The forms mode for turbo tax online does not have form 1099-R. When will it be available
Online does not have the Forms mode. Forms is only available in the Desktop download program where you can directly enter into the actual forms. The 1099R section is supposed to be ready Jan 21.
Does anyone on this forum work for Intuit? They should identify themselves. This is poor customer service.
It’s mainly us volunteers. When a Moderator, Administrator, Expert or Employee posts it will say that at the top by their name.
I am a pensioner with two pensions that have withholding. I do not do quarterly payments beyond what the federal government pays on my behalf.
That said I purchased a commercial product that I expected to work … or at least have Intuit be transparent on when it would work appropriately.
