I donated my car and was given a $500 tax receipt for it but I don't know how to apply it to my taxes. I also have the federal tax ID number for the receipt. Any help?

You should enter your donation in the Charitable Donations section of your return.  (It's found on your Federal return Deductions & Credits tab.)

You will categorize your donation as an item and choose that you donated a car.  The follow-up questions will ask you for the details of your donation.
