When I entered my 1098 form to get my deductions for my mortgage credits turbotax said the law is pending and they would let me know how to get the deductions later. How?

You need to file an extension or file your return today. If you owe, you need to pay or make arrangements to pay (interest will accrue on any unpaid tax). 

If there are any changes in the law, TurboTax will email you an alert.
