I paid my 2015 property taxes in 2016 and also paid 2016 taxes in year 2016. How to I report thisin Turbotax

Each year property taxes have two components one To Dallas county and other to Tarrant county.
Paid 2015 taxes on Jan 8th to a tune of $7696.06 and paid $8022.83 on 12/12/2016.
Should I report the total of $15718.89 in Turbotax for year 2016

There are two categories for property tax entries--your main home and other property. If the taxes were of the same category, just add them together before entering them.

You claim property taxes in the year that you pay them, regardless of what year they are for, so on your 2016 tax return, you claim the total property taxes that you paid in 2016.
