In addition to having money added to my hsa pr-tax I added some after tax money to cover large medical expenses. Can I deduct those after-tax contributions?
Yes. You can make after-tax HSA contributions and receive a tax deduction (F1040, line 25) provided that the total (of both the pretax and the after-tax amounts) does not exceed your eligible contribution limit.
