Can I deduct dental expenses?

Yes, as long as the dental expenses were not for purely cosmetic work.  Only the amount of medical expenses that exceeds 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income for the year is deductible, and then only if your itemized expenses in total exceed your standard deduction.
