Worked for real estate agency

My husband started work for a real estate agency in 2016. The form is asking me who owns this business, him, me, or both. The answer is neither because he is an agent in an already established real estate agency.  Have I answered an earlier question incorrectly to get me to this point. He makes commissions on his real estate sales and his real estate agency issued him a 1099 form, so he is an independent contractor, but does not own the business that he works for. In this situation is his business himself? In that case he would own himself?

Worked for real estate agency

Your husband as a Real Estate agent is an agent of the Real Estate company, but is actually working for himself. So when asked, you would check that your husband owns the business. For the business name, you can use your husband's name.
