Why won't Turbotax won't allow me to enter an out of state address for charitable contributions?
I donated household items to a local Salvation Army while on vacation in another state; I don't see any reason why this isn't allowed but when running the review in TurboTax, it complains that the zip code entered is not in my home state.

So put in a zip code from your own state. The IRS doesn't view or want to view this minutia. I tell you this as I am not a TT employee and having prepared tax returns for 30 years I know that the IRS does not care what zip code you donated your goods to.
