I finally found it. I was questioning the same. It is taken off, but you have to dig around to see it.
Turbotax needs to show it on section by Standard deduction, or add a new row or something. I found it by using AI, lol.
Use "Tax Tools" and then tab "Tools", Then "Tax Summary", then there it is.
Social Security is still being taxed as it was in the past; however, there's a new $6,000 deduction for individuals older than 65 years old. Also, a $12,000 deduction would apply to couples who qualify.
The full taxable amount that is included in your taxable income is on line 15 of Form 1040.

For more information, see Deductions for Seniors.
If you and your spouse are both 65 or over, everything is evaluated for both of you.
What I'm saying, Turbotax needs to show the deduction somewhere where we can see it. I spent 45 minutes going back and forth on your software to see what I was doing wrong. I know it's done now automatically, but I didn't when I was filling them out.
Unfortunately, the IRS doesn't agree. They've put it on the second page of the tax return on line (13b). In addition, it is lumped in with other credits from Form 1A.
Thanks for that! Their AI chatbot didn't know the answer either. It should show up under deductions!
The TurboTax program makes this calculation automatically and lists the “Additional Deduction” on the new Schedule 1-A which flows to your 1040 line 13b.
It is NOT added to your Standard Deduction.
This is how the IRS designed the deduction to be reported.
Here is how to view your tax return (Form 1040)
To preview your Form 1040 Tax Return using TurboTax Online, please select
Tax Tools on the left side bar,
then TOOLS from the drop-down that opens
(you may need to play with the scroll bar on the left side to see these options)
Next, select "View Tax Summary" on the Tools Center Screen
On the left side bar you can find "Preview my 1040"
Select "Preview my 1040"
If using TurboTax Desktop, simply switch to FORMS located at the top right corner (left on MAC)

Still not working for me, Very simple return, interest, dividends, social security, yet no Schedule 1-A being generated (i've looked under forms) and no additional deduction on Line 13B on 1040.
If you're using TurboTax Online, in the left-side menu, go to Tax Tools > Tools, then 'View Tax Summary' in the pop-up window. Back at the left-side menu, choose 'Preview My 1040'.
Scrolling through your 1040, look for an amount on Line 13b. If there is an amount there, it's probably from the Schedule 1-A, Part V, Enhanced Deduction for Seniors, since this is the only deduction you would have on that form. You won't see Schedule 1-A in this view.
If there is no amount on Line 13b of Form 1040, I would suggest you clear your Cache and Cookies and make sure your entries for your age are correct in the MY INFO section. TurboTax applies the deduction automatically.
If you're using TurboTax Desktop, in FORMS, click on 'Open Form' at the upper left and type 'Schedule 1-A' in the search area. You can then view the form and calculations used to figure your actual deduction on Form 1040, Line 13b.

1) You cannot get it if you are preparing a married and filing separately (MFS ) tax return.
2) It also won't show up if, in the Personal Info area, if you checked a box near your SSN indicating that the your SS Card indicated it was Not Valid For Employment. Go back and edit your Personal info to make sure that box is not checked....(Unless it is true...in which case you are not eligible for the $6000)
