In the 2 year comparison, TurboTax Premier shows a 2024 Total Itemized Deduction that equals the sum of the individual itemized deductions above; however, the 2025 Total Itemized Deduction is less than the sum of the same lines. If the Total Itemized Deduction was summed the same way in 2025 as it was in 2024, it seems we would do better with the Itemized Deduction vs the Standard Deduction; however, since the sum does not seem to include all of the numbers it is lower than the Standard Deduction.

Thank you for your response. After A LOT of digging, I came to the same conclusion that this was a result of the tax law changes. Many thanks!
@mjsavagesales be more specific. What lines? what is summing differently? is it the medical costs? is it the State and local taxes sub-total? there were tax law changes between the two years that COULD be affecting your results, but without more specific details, it's hard to give you a good answer.
