Why is my child tax credit not being added to my refund?

In the review it shows I am getting a child tax credit of $4500.  It is not added to the amount of "tax paid and certain credits"  I don't see where the $4500 is added?  My tax due is less than the amount of tax I paid plus the child tax credit?  And turbo tax still shows me owing money?

Child tax credit is shown on line 12a.   It is subtracted from the tax due on line 11.  Then you would get the net tax amount.that is due.

This net tax amount is offset against your federal withholdings and other refundable credits.

Thank you for the quick answer!  I can see now it is subtracted from my total tax due.
