Why does my 1099_INT automatically register as a foreign account if the bank is locally owned bank in the USA. I don't want to pay for upgraded version if I don't need to

My 1099-INT is around $11 of interest that should be reported. The bank is a local midwest USA bank that is definitely not a foreign account. When I enter the 1099INT in the section that states "investments, interest, etc" it automatically makes my next question about my foreign account values....but I don't have a foreign account. Because it deems I have a foreign account I then need to upgrade from the free version to the paid version to support that. How can I circumvent the foreign account stuff?

go back and edit the 1099-INT.

Make sure that none of the boxes, except box 1, or box 3, have values in them.

NO ZERO's in any of the other boxes....just blank space if there are no $$ amounts.

If it's still not working

...and if you uploaded a Picture, or a PDF file of that 1099-INT? (don't ever do that)

Then delete the 1099-INT and simply enter it manually........Enter Another Way, and Type it in Myself...
