Why are my gambling losses not deducting from my state return

I am itemizing my deductions and my gambling winnings and losses are offset on my federal return.  And my state (MN) allows deduction of gambling losses, but they are not coming off of my state return.

Gambling losses are part of your Federal itemized deductions on Schedule A in the Federal return.   Your MN state return starts out with your Federal Taxable Income.  Your itemized deductions, including gambling losses, are already subtracted from your federal income to arrive at the Federal Taxable Income number that transferred to MN.  You do not need to make any further adjustments for this item.
