Why am i not seeing my electric vehilce tax credit of 2500 for calif tax?

I am doing the California portion of my taxes. TT said I was finished, but it never asked me about (or transferred to California) my electric vehicle purchase. It shows on my Federal Taxes for the $7,500.00 credit. But I should also be getting back $2,500 from the state of California. Please help me with this. Thanks, Paul Duron

There is no longer a low-emission vehicle tax credit on the California state return. (see page 25 of the California instructions).

Instead, there is a rebate program administered by the California Clean Vehicle Rebate Project which provides rebates to buyer of certain low emission vehicles. These rebates are not handled as part of the tax return.
