Why am i not getting the home office deduction

You will need a net profit from your business in order to claim the home office.  That may be the reason.  You can verify this by previewing your form 1040.  Line 12 of your 1040 will show the business profit or loss.  Also, you may want to go back into the Home Office area and check your entries.
