Who declares an energy credit deduction for solar from a shared account?

I share a home with my mother.

I wrote the checks for solar panels from a cash management account that I share with my mother. Should I claim the deduction on my taxes alone since I signed the checks?

You can claim all or share with your mother. 

If you share the credit, you each can only claim part of the credit so the total of what you both claim is not more than if only one person was claiming.
