I entered Letter 6419 which means I've taken advances of $3600 (2 qualifying children). But when I look at my Child Tax Credit (deduction) on Turbo Tax, it gives me that $3,600 credit, but it really should be double that b/c it is $3600 PER child (both ages 5 and under).
My question is: Why isn't Turbo Tax giving me the full $7200 child tax credit (and it's just calculating $3600 in which I received in my advances)?

By TurboTax showing you the $3,600, you are getting the full amount since you already received $3,600. The amount you are seeing is the amount that will go on line 28 of your 1040. If this line said $7,200 you would be getting $3,600 too much.
OK, thanks for the info. I guess I would've liked to have seen a $7200 child tax credit on that line item, and then adjust it (on another line item, or something) that showed I already took half of that.
By it saying that I have a $3600 child tax credit, it left me wondering if I was getting the full amount.
For instance, in my 2020 column, it shows a $4000 child tax credit, but for 2021, it shows that $3600 amount, so it SEEMS like I am getting less, which was the impetus for my question.
Thanks for the info!
