where is owner asssignment

Under dividends there is a line that assigns owner like "both of us" BUT not under capital gains. Where is it?

If there are two names on an account, the first listed is responsible for including the information on the return.

If capital gains are included on the 1099-DIV the same first person is responsible for including the information on the return.

If you received a 1099-B that includes Capital gains there should be an owner of the brokerage account.
