Form 8911 is tentatively expected to be available in TurboTax on January 30. That date is subject to change.

The link shows both the Schedule A (Form 8911) and Form 8911 itself are available, but in windows/desktop version of both have DO NOT FILE in top right when viewing each form, and when checking for errors, you get "Form 8911 - this form has not been approved for release at this time ..."

It was a race between Forms 5695 and 8911.  5695 won (delivered today).

I will look for 8911 tomorrow, 1/30/2026.

The website that lists "Tax Form Availability" needs to be corrected as it states that Form 8911 and  Form 8911-A are both released for print and Form 8911 is ready for e-file.

Both have "DO NOT FILE" in red type, so obviously can't be printed / submitted or e-filed.

What is the deal here? Will these forms continue to be held up like in prior years?

I just got an email within last hour that says it was ready, but when I force a manual update in TurboTax it still says no updates and Form 8911 will be ready soon.

I received an email on 1/30 that Form 8911 is ready. But after opening TurboTax and checking for updates, it still does not show the form.

Same here.  Received notification of 8911 availability at 11:18  GMT-5, checked at 13:15, no updates available.

No updates even though i got an alert saying it was ready like the other form. This is a intuit cluster F with these false emails when there is not update available.

Now shows 2/4/2026 as e-file date for both 8911 and 8911 Schedule A. Changed from what it showed earlier as available to e-file.

WTF do we pay you $50/year for? The 8911 form was ready in Dec 2025 and the thing is 1-page long! This should've been ready to go by Tax Day. Incompetent bunch of degenerates on a form that's been around for years

Same here, got an email saying that it was ready today and nothing, This is literally the only thing holding me up from submitting. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow I might as well submit somewhere else.

New update rolled out this morning that corrected the Form 8911 and Form 8911-A, it would appear.

I’m going to need 8911 and I’m waiting for buy TT after having to eat HR Block b/c it didn’t support 8911. Can anyone confirm it’s available to e-file on TT.
