Where do you claim state tax deduction on Schedule A, or on 1040? I am itemizing and I can't find a place to list it.

You still claim the state income tax or sales tax deduction on Schedule A. The income taxes will be brought automatically from your W-2 boxes 15-17 (if anything is entered there).
Go to Deductions & Credits->Estimates and Other Taxes Paid->Sales taxes for sales taxes, and to Deductions & Credits->Estimates and Other Taxes Paid->Other Income taxes if you have to enter the income taxes paid manually.
Remember that your return can deduct only one or the other, and the system will pick the better one.
