Where do i report foreign taxes paid on dividends

To do that in Turbo Tax, 

1. Go to Income. 

2. Go to Interest and Dividend Income. 

3. Click Start or Update next to Dividends on 1099-DIV. 

4. Click on the box My form has info in more than just these boxes (this is uncommon). 

5. In box 6, Foreign Tax Paid, put the amount. 

Depending upon the rest of your income and the amount, you may see an entry on line 48, Form 1040, Foreign Tax Credit.  To check:

1. Go to My Account. 

2. Go to Tools. 

3. Go to View Tax Summary. 

4. Go to Preview my 1040.

What if I don't see an entry on 48?

and you entered the foreign tax withheld on your 1099-DIV input?  Did you have a tax liability?
