Where do I enter ohio real estate tax?

You should report the property tax on your federal return and the information will flow to your state return.

Even if you claim the Standard Deduction on your federal return, you can still itemize your deductions on the Ohio return.

To claim the real estate tax:

  • Sign in to your return.
  • Select Federal from the left menu.
  • Go to Deductions and Credits.
  • Scroll down to Your home.
  • Select Start next to Property Tax.
