Where do I enter my information for box 10 from my 1098 when my escrow is included in my mortgage payments?

Amounts that are in Box 10 of your Form 1098 are real estate or (property) taxes paid from your escrow account. These are deductible if you itemize your deductions. You will enter this amount in TurboTax under "Property (real estate) taxes" in the Deductions & Credits section.

You can easily get to the section in TurboTax where you will add these property taxes (if you are itemizing your deductions) as follows:

1. Click on the Search icon at the top right of your TurboTax Screen.
2. Type "property taxes" in the search box.
3. Click on the link "Jump to property taxes"
4. Your screen will say, "Enter any additional property tax paid in 2025".
5. Enter your property taxes and continue through the TurboTax screens and answer any follow-up questions.
