Where do I enter miscellaneous job expenses like tools bought last year and work clothing and laundry ?

To enter your tools and laundry expenses in TurboTax Deluxe online program, here are the steps:

1.  Sign into your account, select Take me to my return  

2.  At right upper corner, in search box , type in 2106, and Enter 

3.  Select Jump to 2106 

4.  On screen, Job-Related Expenses Summary , under your occupation, select Edit

5.  Go through step-by-step interview questions 

6.  On screen, Job-Related Expense, enter tools and other expenses

Please note that you will benefit from this expense only if the total amount of the tools expenses with other job expenses and certain deductions is more than 2% of your Adjusted Gross Income and you are also itemizing instead of taking the standard deduction.
