Where do I deduct the property taxes paid for 2016?
Property taxes for your home are deducted in the Your Home section. Personal property taxes (boats, motorcycle, RV, etc.) are deducted in the Car and Other Things You Own section.
To navigate to your section:
- In your open return, select My Account
- Tools
- Topic Search
- Type property taxes - real estate (for your home), then select GO
If you have personal property taxes, type property taxes - auto or property taxes -other to go to the correct section.
