Are you self-employed and are you preparing a Schedule C for your business expenses?   Entering mileage driven while volunteering for a charity?  You enter that when you enter your charity donations.  Entering mileage while driving to and from medical procedures and appointments?  Enter medical miles when entering medical expenses.  

If you are a W-2 employee, mileage driven to and from work, or even during your work day is not entered.
