Where do I claim the tax i paid on my new car?

To enter sales tax paid on a vehicle, you will need to locate the Sales Tax section.  

• Log in to your TurboTax Online account, or open your TurboTax CD/Download program
• Click Take me to my return
• Click on Federal
• Click on Deductions & Credits
• Choose Continue and, “I’ll choose what I work on.” if offered
• Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid, click Show More, if offered
•  Locate Sales Tax and click to Revisit/Start
• Choose EasyGuide on the next screen
• You will be guided through entering your sales tax paid on a vehicle
