Where can I find a QMID or a Qualified Manufacturer Identification Number to use for taking an energy efficient improvements credit?

The QMID is the Qualified Manufacturer ID. This is a code assigned by the IRS to manufacturers of energy-efficient equipment (like heat pumps, central air, or boilers).

You should find it on the Manufacturer’s Certification Statement that came with your product or is available on the manufacturer’s website.

dont have either of those and the manufacture of my solar panels is not listed on the IRS web site.  So need other alternatives to find the QMIN

You need to contact the manufacturer or company you purchased the property from and request the number.
