When will Turbotax be updated to auto populate the Virginia Schedule A when Federal Itemized deductions are less than standard deduction?

Although I itemized my deductions on the Federal Form, they were less than the standard deduction so a Schedule A was not generated.  However, none of the itemized deductions made their way over to the Virginia tax forms.  The Itemized Deduction field was left blank and no Virginia Schedule A was generated....refund difference more than $1K.

Unfortunately, the state of Virginia requires taxpayers to use the same method.

If no Schedule A was included in your return, then your federal return is set to use the Standard Deduction.  See the instructions below to change your choice to Itemized on the federal return.  Once this is done, TurboTax will include the Schedule A on the federal return.  Then return to the VA state return and you will be able to itemize.
