Schedule A for itemized deductions, including charitable donations, should be available in TurboTax this Thursday, January 8. That date is subject to change.
It does not update on the main form under TT Premier 2025. It only collects the information but when done it still lists available instead of the amount.
If the amount on Schedule A is correct, don't worry about what's on the "Your 2025 Deductions & Credits" screen in TurboTax. Look at the actual tax forms, not the summary screen in the TurboTax interview.
Yeah several of my deductions say “now available” and not the amount. But they show up on Schedule A and the 1040. I’m not worrying about that. But someone should let the moderator know.
Sorry "Champ". Don't worry about what the TurboTax screen says and look at the forms? Do you realize how bad that sounds? That is not a solution. Are there other TurboTax screens we should be ignoring?
Thank you for reporting your experience. We are currently investigating the issue and will provide updates as soon as possible.
it is now February 11th and the donations tool is still not complete. When will this be done it is holding up my taxes.
What are you trying to enter for Charitable Donations that you are not able to? This section is working, so if you can clarify, we'll try to help. Here's more info on How to Enter Charitable Donations.
I can enter the deductions and they are correct in IRS forms and TT seems to know about them but they don't get displayed in the TT screen Your 2025 Deductions & Credits line Donations to charity in 2025. The line still says Available Now. This TT Premier by the way.
Yes, the display on the Deductions topics page may not be updating correctly. However, if you have verified that your forms are correct, this doesn't affect your return. Often if you step through the interview all the way to the end (summary) and click back in, the 'Available Now' will update.
When you exit/save your return and come back in, it may also resolve.
