The IRS will start to accept 2023 tax returns on January 29. If you claimed the Earned Income Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit, by law the IRS is not allowed to issue your refund until mid February. If you chose direct deposit they say to expect your refund to be in your bank account by the end of February.
