First be sure you have the correct birth date for each spouse. Next you can preview your tax return because it's not part of the standard deduction. It is a separate deduction from income and not a credit. See the instructions below to check for it on your tax return.
From the left rail menu in TurboTax Online, select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.)
For TurboTax Desktop, change to 'Forms' and review the forms.
It is automatic based on your age. It is not part of your Standard Deduction. The new Senior Deduction is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. The 6,000/12,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b with any other sch 1-A amounts. Turbo Tax automatically includes it if you qualify. If you are married you have to file a Joint return.
For Online version You can preview the 1040 or print the whole return

See the 1040…….
I have done everything you suggested. The dates of birth are correct. We are filing jointly. We are both in our 70's. I have looked at the 1040 in the online version and line 13b is blank and no Schedule 1-A has been filled out. Something is amiss.
@user17698865320 You will not see the Schedule 1-A when viewing the Form 1040 using the online editions. That would only be included when you print the tax return.
If you have verified your dates of birth and and that you are filing as Married Filing Jointly and are not getting the additional deduction for being a senior age 65 or older, then I would recommend you clear the tax return and start over.
If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Switch Products on the lower left side of the program screen while working on the 2025 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over
If you aren’t getting the new Enhanced Senior Deduction on Schedule 1-A which goes to 1040 line 13b these should be the only 3 reasons…
Check your date of birth under My Info
If you are married you have to file a Joint return not Separate
Is your AGI over 175,000 Single or 250,000 Joint?
Copilot is saying this:
The Enhanced Senior Deduction is a new federal tax deduction beginning in tax year 2025 that gives eligible seniors an extra $6,000 per person ($12,000 for a married couple if both qualify). To qualify, you must be at least 65 years old and meet the income and filing requirements set under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA).
Below is a clear, citation‑based breakdown of the requirements.
You must be 65 or older by the end of the tax year.
Available to all filing statuses as long as the taxpayer is 65+.
The deduction begins to phase out at:
(If your income exceeds the phase‑out range, the deduction may be reduced or eliminated.)
You must provide a valid Social Security number on your tax return.
The deduction applies for tax years 2025 through 2028.
This deduction is in addition to the longstanding “additional standard deduction for age 65+ or blind.”

I would like to know if I qualify for the $6000.00 senior bonus deduction with an AGI $126,300.00
Delete
For AGI $126,300
I believe for Single they will get a reduced amount of $2,922. The max phase out is $175,000.
For Joint they would get the full 6,000 for each spouse. The phase out starts at 1 50,000. The max is $250,000.
