When I try to enter my mortgage origination date on form 1098, it tells me it isn't a valid date. I am entering it exactly as it is on statement. What am I doing wrong?

Please clarify the actual date you are trying to enter that the program is flagging as invalid..

08/24/20 is the date I am trying to enter

Make sure you enter the year using 4 digits, ie 2020
