When I enter my dependent care expenses for my children my return amount is dropping. I thought this was a credit but its acting like a penalty. Is this accurate?

Where are you seeing an amount that is dropping? Is the amount in the "refund monitor" on the screen? Do you see the words "Tax Due" under the number that is dropping?
