When filing an addendum due to a second 1098 I wasn't expecting, do I put the new mortgage interest in the box for the mcc or the total of both 1098s?

To enter your mortgage interest or add another one from 1098 form, please follow these steps.

If you are using TurboTax Online, start from Tax Home page.

1. Click on Take me to my return
2. On the top right, click on Search, then type in mortgage interest
3. A list will appear, select Jump to mortgage interest. It will take you directly to the page
4. You will see a blue tab on the bottom, click on Add a lender to enter your 2nd 1098

Go through each page and answer the questions.
